I am a 23 year old South Asian University student who currently lives in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. All my life I have been told that I can do or wear certain things due to the sole fact that I am fat yes I said it I AM FAT. I have come to terms with how I look even though I do have off days with my self confidence just like anyone else. I am advocate for health at any size and a strong believer in fat acceptance. One of my philosophies are that if you look good on the outside you'll start loving and accepting who you are. I have learned to accept myself by following Plus Size fashion blogs, Body Positivity Blogs, ect. However, I feel there is not enough representation for us South Asian girls. It seems as though the "Western world" has made strides in the fat acceptance movement, but us Brown girls are still taught to hate ourselves and our bodies, and I refuse to believe it anymore.
